Reservation Policy and Program Fees
Advanced Reservations. September, October and April, May are our busiest months. Please make your reservation as early as possible, and at least three to four weeks in advance. Requests will be scheduled based on availability. You may reserve a guided tour, Tuesday through Saturday. Large school groups (60 or more) should plan to visit Konza Prairie over two days.
Payment. Program fees support Konza Prairie Biological Station. Bring payment the day of the tour, or we can invoice your group after the event. Please make checks payable to Konza Prairie. Receipt available upon request.
Confirmation. You will receive a trip confirmation and itinerary approximately one week in advance of your reservation. If you need to make corrections or adjustments for your visit, please contact the Education Program Office immediately.
Cancellation. Konza Prairie staff and docents arrive 30-minutes in advance of your group's arrival time. If you anticipate being more than 10-minutes late, please call ahead. Docents will wait only 30-minutes past your arrival time, if the Education Program Office is not notified.
Weather. Please watch the weather forecast. We may need to rearrange trip itinerary or cancel for heavy rain, storm warnings, or water saturated soils. If there are questions concerning your visit, please call us before you cancel, even if the morning of the trip. Rescheduling availability is limited. We do not offer indoor activities in case of inclement weather.

Education Program Fees (as of January 1, 2009)
K-12 classes (excluding USD 383)
- $25 per class
One adult chaperone per 10 students required, included in cost
Additional adults: $2 per person
(Allowances for special needs groups)
Other children's groups
- $2 per child
One adult chaperone per 10 students required, $2 per person
Additional adults: $2 per person
All other private groups
- $12 per person
Children under 12: $2 per child - Group Rates
$240.00 for 21-40 persons / half-day
$300.00 for 41-80 persons / half-day
$360.00 for 81-120 persons / half-day
Please note: Special events (such as Greater Prairie-chicken observations, or the Annual Wildflower Walk) are assessed separate fees.
