Friends of Konza Prairie Wildflower Walk

Sunday June 7, 2015
No reservations required - just come join us

6:30 pm to Sunset

The Friends of Konza Prairie, through the Konza Environmental Education Program, annually offers a Wildflower Walk, in June, on Butterfly Hill Trail, an area typically not open to the public. Registration will be in the Konza Meeting Hall (barn) at Headquarters beginning at 6:30 pm.

Join Konza Prairie Biological Station Director of Education, Jill Haukos, docents and researchers on a 2-mile guided hike of Butterfly Hill Trail.  At the peak of wildflower season, visitors often view more than 50 species of native tallgrass prairie plants blooming along the trail.

Through the evening, Friends of Konza Prairie will offer merchandise for sale, including Konza Prairie t-shirts, mugs, and other items.
